The Mermonkey is a newly introduced tower in BTD6, added in Update 44. This unique tower can be placed on both land and water, making it highly versatile for different map types. It attacks by summoning powerful water blasts and aquatic creatures to pop bloons. The Mermonkey has special abilities that enhance its popping power and utility, making it a valuable addition to any player's strategy. To unlock the Mermonkey tower, you will need to acquire 3 million pops of bloons. To achieve this quickly, you can use a trick to complete a simple Challenge/Experiment 1-3 times (depending on how many pops you still need), which will give you 1 million pops each time. The process should only take about 5 minutes.
This guide is designed to be easy to follow, with helpful tips and explanations of our decisions based on extensive BTD6 experience from our YouTube channel.
While you can use these features (especially Monkey Knowledge), this guide is designed to be as bulletproof as possible, so they are not required.
Note: This guide was recorded on BTD6 Patch 44.
Instructions: The round guide indicates when to make purchases. For example, "Round 3" means to buy at the end of Round 3, between Rounds 3 and 4, unless stated otherwise. We recommend disabling Auto Start for easier following.
As mentioned, we will be conducting an experiment to acquire those pops, called MOAB Madness. We can start the experiment by clicking on the Quest Monkey, selecting Experiments, and starting the MOAB Madness experiment.
Note: This quest will acquire you 1 million pops, so if you don't have any pops yet, you may need to repeat it 3 times to reach the required 3 million pops.
The Spirit of the Forest Druid is a very strong tower that will deal damage across the entire track and also earn us some money each round. Place him in the corner as shown, as the spikes in his surrounding area will be the strongest, and we want them to cover as much area as possible.
The Glue Gunner will stun all bloons, providing more time for the Druid to deal even more damage. With the 5th tier upgrade, the Glue Gunner also deals damage himself. The Monkey Village is mainly needed to provide camo detection.
The Dartling Gunner will handle the final round even if you don't aim with him. During this round, you will also earn a lot of money, so you can place extra towers if you want to be sure of victory. You can also upgrade the Alchemist to 4-2-0 during the final round.

As mentioned, one run of the MOAB Madness experiment will provide 1 million pops. Repeat this experiment 2 more times if you still need more pops.
You can then unlock the Mermonkey by clicking on the present in the main menu of BTD6 and selecting the Mermonkey.
