What Is The Queen Bee

The Queen Bee is a pre-Hardmode boss found exclusively in the Jungle biome. Known for her fast, aerial attacks and the ability to summon bees, she is a key milestone for progression in Terraria. Summoning her requires either locating and breaking a specific object within the Jungle or crafting and using a special item.

Notable Drops:

  • Bee Wax (used to craft Bee Armor and Bee-related weapons)
  • Honey Comb (grants healing effects when damaged)
  • Bee Gun (fires bees that home in on enemies)
  • Bee Keeper (a sword that summons bees upon hitting enemies)
  • Hive Wand (allows the placement of Hive Blocks)
  • Honeyed Goggles (rare drop that summons a rideable Bee Mount)
  • Bee’s Knees (a bow that shoots bees instead of arrows)
  • Hive Pack (enhances the effectiveness of bee-related weapons)
  • Queen Bee Mask and Trophy
  • Coins and other miscellaneous loot

How To Summon The Queen Bee

Larva Method

The most common way to summon the Queen Bee is by breaking a Larva, found inside Beehives located in the Underground Jungle.

Steps to Summon:

  • Locate a Beehive: Explore the Underground Jungle biome, where natural Beehives spawn.
  • Break the Larva: Inside each Beehive, you’ll find a Larva, which can be broken with any weapon or tool, immediately summoning the Queen Bee.

Abeemination Method

The Abeemination is a crafted summoning item used to summon the Queen Bee manually.

Required Materials:

  • 5 Honey Blocks: Created when water touches honey in the Jungle biome.
  • 1 Stinger: Dropped by Jungle enemies such as Hornets or Spiked Jungle Slimes.
  • 5 Hive Blocks: Found within Bee Hives in the Underground Jungle.
  • 1 Bottled Honey: Crafted by combining an Empty Bottle with Honey at a Honey source.

To craft and use the Abeemination, take the required materials to a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar to craft it. Once crafted, use the Abeemination anywhere within the Jungle biome to summon the Queen Bee.
