Welcome to our Monkey Meadow guide on Double HP MOABs difficulty. This guide is designed to be easy to follow, with helpful tips and explanations of our decisions based on extensive BTD6 experience from our YouTube channel.
While you can use these features (especially Monkey Knowledge), this guide is designed to be as bulletproof as possible, so they are not required.
Note: This guide was recorded on BTD6 Patch 43.
Since this is the first map and you likely don't have many heroes unlocked, Quincy is a solid choice. He is the cheapest hero you can buy and is highly effective for most maps due to his low cost, early camo detection (before Round 24), and high MOAB damage.
Instructions: The round guide indicates when to make purchases. For example, "Round 3" means to buy at the end of Round 3, between Rounds 3 and 4, unless stated otherwise. We recommend disabling Auto Start for easier following.
As mentioned, we are starting with Quincy, a reliable hero available at a very cheap price. His high damage against MOABs will be very useful.
Once you have enough cash for a Boomerang Monkey, buy it and place it in the corner of the track as illustrated to cover as much area as possible.
This upgrade will be able to handle Lead Bloons in rounds 28 and 30.
The Ninja Monkey will help clear out regular bloons, handle camo bloons in Round 33, and deal high damage to MOABs when upgraded.
The M.O.A.R Glaives upgrade is very powerful, easily handling Lead Bloons.
The Ninja Monkey with the Sticky Bomb upgrade will do massive damage to MOABs, allowing us to get rid of them easily. We will also start upgrading the Alchemist to buff our monkeys later on.
The Acidic Mixture Dip upgrade for the Alchemist will greatly enhance our damage to MOABs. The Monkey Village with Radar Scanner will also provide camo detection for this game.
Here's the revised sentence:
The Monkey Village will now additionally buff the attack speed of our monkeys, specifically the Boomerang Monkey. By buying a Heli Pilot with the Pursuit upgrade, we have a tower that can fire over the whole map without needing micro-management.
The key thing to note here is the 2-0-3 upgrade of the Heli Pilot (which you can buy before Round 55), as it is one of the best upgrades for Double HP MOABs difficulty since it can slow and push away MOABs. The 2-0-4 upgrade makes the Heli Pilot even more effective, allowing it to start dealing serious damage.
Round 63 can be quite challenging, and a 4-2-0 Glue Gunner is a good option to deal with it. This upgrade will also cover us until the end of the run. From now on, you can buy pretty much anything you want if you don't yet have 5th tier upgrades. You can also upgrade the Glue Gunner to 5-2-0.
We finished the run with a 2-0-5 Heli, which will easily take care of the ZOMG.
Here is the full build used in this guide if you want to try to achieve it yourself.
